Someone named "Watson" called and said that they were calling from Gulf Power to tell us they had a work order to turn off the power in an hour. He gave me a call back number 888-749-1113 ext 1000. I told him I was positive that our bill had been paid. The number he called from was 810-309-1512. I looked it up and saw that a scam was reported in some other town about the same thing. THIS IS A BIG SCAM THEY WANT TO SCARE YOU INTO GIVING THEM MONEY AND OR YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBERS.
Got a call from Watson Benjamin pretending he is from Duke Energy and he will cut our power. Called us from 1-810-309-1512. Called the Energy company , a big lie. Called the number back to give him a piece of my mind , but it was a magic jack number. From all I know this a**hole could be even calling from another number. SCAM, stay away.
