Again these annoying idiots call. I do not have any service through them nor do I live anywhere by them. There should be a law to sue these idiots. Sadly the only ones who win are the bureaucrats who get all the $ while leaving the victims w/ nothing as usual.
Do you have a gas stove or water heater? I do not want to sound condescending but why would Semco Energy (a gas company) call you for ANYTHING if you did not have an account with them? Electric, gas, and water companies do not call to solicit service. Yes they certainly call to solicit payment for services provided that are past due. People do not have a choice for which utility companies provide them service (based on where they live.)
Why would this so call company call and let you know that your gas is about to be disconnected. Usually they just shut it off, lock it, no questions ask. If you do what they ask your as dumb as they are.
This is a courtesy call. As others have stated it is quite unlikely Semco Energy would be calling your phone number unless it is associated with an account. If you recieved a call from this number I would suggest answering it and reporting the payment you plan to make or if you really do not have gas explain the mistake they have made. It may just save you a lot of money in expensive reconnection fees.
