Got the same call as many of you. Guy with a thick indian accent, saying that he was notified that my computer was in trouble. When I asked him how he knew he said, "Because of the global routing system". Which I laughed as I am a software engineering that writes code that runs on the giant global networks. There is no such thing. I just tried to play with him as long as I could. So I said, "Hmmm.. global routing system sounds important, what do you think it could be?" and he told me "He was sure it was a virus and that I should type www.<someaddress>.com".. so I told him.. "Ok I'm there" and he asked me what did it say, and I said "It told me to tell you to F* OFF because you are scamming people that really don't understand this. You suck" and he said "I'm just playing with people" and then hung up.
UGH! If I could only reach through the phone and grab those punks!
This caller said he was from Microsoft Windows and had a very important message about my computer. Issues about my computer had been tracked by Microsoft.
I interrupted and said "I'm sorry, I don't believe it". He replied with a sigh "Oh, OK, goodbye" and put the phone down.
this ass_____ called and I did not pick up. He left a canned message with female voice saying this was the IRS and we would be arrested if we did not call her/him back
