Again, we are getting calls from "new" numbers before, it seems, anyone else. Just got a call today, 8/5/16, one day after the above call, from 8*8*2-724-5441 . Picked up, but did not say anything. A live voice, sounding like a black woman, said "Hello?" three times and then waited 10 seconds before disconnecting. Caller ID said "UNAVAILABLE". Another to BLOCK. NOTE: 800Notes did not even indicate a LOCATION for this area code; my Verizon phone book lists "882" area code as "Paid 877 Service", whatever THAT means.
"Coincidently" we got a call yesterday, when no one was home from 8*1*2-724-5441. No msg was left. No info online about this number; we were the first to report it on 800Notes.
Obviously, BOTH numbers are SPOOFED, and likely coming from the same CRIMINAL source. I'm guessing this is yet another of the REYNOLDS FAMILY SCAMS, who run all kinds of FAKE PHONY "Charity" collections calls, but use the proceeds to live LAVISH, MILLIONAIRE lifestyles. They are based in TN and FL; search on "REYNOLDS FAMILY SCAMS" and you get a treasure trove of hits. Those SCAM "charity" calls have started up again with a vengence, lately: "Firefigters" in CA, "UNITED BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION" and even Veterans' and Children's Cancer SCAMS. The FTC shut them down in 2015 and "fined" them MILLIONS, but then "Accepted" a payment of only $75GRAND instead. NO ONE went to PRISON, of course, as they SHOULD HAVE, (and would have if they were PETTY Thieves.) With wrist-slaps like this, its easy to see why they just keep doing it. ANOTHER Number/Call where I'm the "Lucky" first one to get it. This one was sandwiched between two KNOWN spam - and already BLOCKED numbers/calls: "VOIP STREET INC" at 774-314-3032 and "-----" at 360-474-3296. Wondering WHAT spam this is, possibly just trolling to see if my number is still 'live'?
