It began this morning at 9 AM. So far two calls, the one at 9 and another one at 10 AM. Last time I had a situation like this one in which a number with just the area code and a bunch of zeros began to call day and night I contacted Comcast about the harrassing calls and they stopped. I will wait for a while and if the calls continue I will contact COMCAST about it. By the way, I am about to drop my home phone service because of the number of calls I receive from these unknown people on daily basis. The fact that I am on the DNC list and that I file almost daily complaints with tha FTC does not help. The "credit card services" and others keep on calling on daily basis.
I received a call from this number, the did leave a voicemail. Her name was Mary Ann, and she left me a essage with a direct line (813)615-3269. It was a lending company asking about a certain guy that i'm assuming is trying to borrow money. They asked for a guy named David, which is not me, so in the end they had a wrong number.
Calls several times a day for the last week; some of them have recorded messages from candidates for office. Whether a message or a long silence, these calls are a nuisance and a waste of everyone's time.
After a long silence, message started, "As we Democrats prepare to meet in Denver..." and I hung up. Could anyone possibly think these calls are effective with anyone in any way? Why would anyone spend good money to annoy and alienate so many people?
