ths number called me, then called my neighbor. Then, called me again. I answered and they asked me if I checked my smoke detectors. I hestiantly answered yes, and said I was not interesting in buying anything. The guy asked me to verify my name, seemed suspicious, so I said I wasn't interested in whatever he wanted and he hung up. Very strange, indeed. Had a heavy accent and never identified who he was representing.
I answered a call from 813-201-0456 which had been forwarded to my cell. Poor connection. Woman caller said hello several times and hung up when she could not hear me. I called the number back (several times actually). Every time it would ring once followed by three short beeps. Thebn nothing. When I googled the number and found the above reports I realized it was one of "those numbers." All technology has its steep downside. This is an example.
I received a call from this number today during lunch. I answered when it rang and there was a delay of several seconds (indicating these are auto-dialed calls and once someone answers the connection is switched over to a salesperson) before a guy with a very heavy hispanic accent got on the phone. He started to ask if we had smoke detectors (Duh, like yeah, everyone does...except maybe south of teh border). I told him HE AND HIS COMPANY are in direct violation of teh Federal Do-Not-Call list law and that I am recording this conversation and that it will be used to prosecute him and his employer. He then said HE was recording teh call too so I told him to go back to school and learn ENGLISH well enough that people in the USA could understand him and then I hung up! These people are maggots and just keep ignoring the DNC list and law. it is too bad the FCC does not put some bite into it and enforce this consumer law!
MISSED THE CALL FROM 813-201-0456- CALL IT BACK AND RINGS ONCE, THEN 3 SHORT BEEPS.. SEARCHED INTERNET & CAME TO THIS SITE. I WILL ADD THE NUMBER TO THE DO NOT ANSWER LIST.
I got two calls from this number today. The first call I said "Hello" once and nothing happened. The second time the same thing. I called it back, and got just 3 short piercing beeps!
