They use a local police department or sheriff department name to raise money. ASK HIM IF HE GETS PAID OR IF HE IS A VOLUNTEER. NOTHING BUT LIES FROM THESE CROOKS. BEWARE!

Yes, "Brian" is another SCAM ARTIST. It appears to be so, anyway. This guy, who calls himself a retired Firefighter with his Son also an active Firefighter, called to set up an appointment with me to buy my motorcycle -- which I advertised on AutoTrader and CycleTrader. H calls from the 813-325-3668 number, which is a Florida number, but his claim is that he's actually in Wisconsin. Anyway, his delay tactic is to mention that he will soon get his "twenties" from several ATM machines to buy the bike, and that he "might" be able to get his friend to come along with a Trailer to tow the bike to Florida, and that he can only pick it up on a Saturday afternoon. (When, Banks aren't open). Beware of this person, who sounds as if he's in his mid-thirties, or so. In this case, I happen to be a former Law Enforcement Officer and I've also checked him out -- including this Website inquiry. If he arrives to my (Appleton, Wisconsin) location, for the purpose of buying my bike, I'll also have local Law Enforcement Officers nearby who will be watchful and possibly introduce themselves to check upon ANY WARRANTS on the guy. So. . . BEWARE. Scammers like Brian are everywhere.

To all of you except for Corey. I have know Brian for the past 5 years. Be careful of what you write about someone when you know absolutely nothing of what you are talking about. How dare you put a label of someone you have never even met. Brian is from Safety Net and of course your neighbor had no idea what you were talking about because Brian only deals with the fire chiefs. Do you even know what Safety Net is? It happens to be a program for educating children in school on fire safety. He is a retired Firefighter, works half the year in Wisconsin, and like most of us does not carry money around so of course, he had to go to the ATM. He is also a kind hearted Christian man who happens to be very generous. And for you information, Brian did not buy your bike partly because I kept trying to talk him out of it.
