This person keeps calling numerous times a day. I am trying to work from home and it is very aggravating and annoying. I have never answered it since I dont recognize the number and there is no caller name, it simply also lists the caller phone number again where the name would normally appear (especially since all the comments I have read).
The question is, how do we stop the calls? Anyone know?
Out of curosity are you signed up with Free Credit Report dot com? I signed up reciently and this is the third call I've gotten from this type of deal - just wondering if anyone else is like maybe they have some type of call list that the numbers get put on - I'm going to be extreamly upset if I find out that's the case
I received several calls from this number and variations of it (i.e. 813-371-8341, 813-371-8321, 813-371-8361, 813-371-8301) within a couple of hours. A man with a very heavy accent left the same message, which I assume was recorded, over and over. He was very hard to understand, and I had to listen to the message 13 times to try and decipher everything he was saying. I tried to return the call several times, but only got a dial tone, then a busy signal. The message left went as follows (again, I couldn't understand everything he said): "This message is for George. George [unintelligible] this message. I need you, or your retained attorney of record, to return the call. [unintelligible] issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is [unintelligible] and [unintelligible except for what sounded like the last few digits of a phone number]. Do not disregard this message, return the call. Now George, if you don't return the call and I don't hear from your attorney, either, the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds upon you. Goodbye, take care."
Again, I was unable to return this call - to any of the numbers - using the automatic call back feature on my cell. I'm just going to let my "retained attorney of record" look into it and take action against these people when, and if, he finds them.
My husband got this EXACT call just lastnight. Here is our message:
This message is intended for Kevin (lastname). Kevin, the very second you receive this message I need you or your retained attorney of record to return my call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is James Anderson and the line to my division is XXX-XXX-XXXX. I repeat that is XXX-XXX-XXXX. Don't disregard this message and do return my call. Now, kevin if you don't return the call and I dont hear from your attorney either the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you.
I'm so glad to see someone else had it too. I was wondering if it was legit but I guess not!!
This lady called and claimed she was calling from the Chamber of Commerce. She then asked for the name of my boss. I said, excuse me, if you were actually from the Chamber of Commerce you would know his name because this is a City municipality. I am familiar with all of the Chamber of Commerce and she is not one of them.I asked for her name and she gave it to me, Malix. I explained were are recieving about 8 calls a day on a business line and emergency lines and are being interruped. She said her name was Malix. She then told me that she heard we were planning a move soon. I said how can a municipality move? She was advised not to call back and we continue to receive calls, daily, several times a day. We cant block the calls because this is a municipality.
