I got a call from 954-456-7591 and the guy on the phone said he was from Universal Studios also. They said I'd entered my name in a contest 8 months ago at the Meadowlands fair so I was suspicious right away (never went to the fair). He offered a package of 6 days and 5 nights for a party of 4 people. There was a 'promotional fee' of $249 per person and the other couple that would tag along would come free. The guy noticed I was skeptical and said 'You don't seem too enthusiastic, you just won a prize' and I said I was questioning the legitimacy of the whole situation. He then prompted me to go on to www.bluegreenonline.com to see that they were a real company and then to go to another website www.NYSE.com and enter the symbol of the company (BXG). I did neither because they wouldn't prove anything to me anyway. He then transferred me to another guy who tried to seal the deal by asking me for my info and of course payment. I asked if there was a number to call back. He said that part of policy was that the 'winners' had to accept the package upon notification. I declined and hung up.
received a call from # 1-813-374-0154 & 0162 claiming that we won a trip to florida to the universal studio. call sounded too real to be true, they hang on us when i requested a call back number to give them the credit card number ( which i wasnt going to give them anyway) extreme care this is a phishing attempt never give out credit card information comming from this number or any call claiming that you won something & that you need to give them a credt card number in order to claim your prize.
Yeah I got a call today with this number from Universal Vacations saying I won a free trip to florida. She sounded way too happy and phoney. Then she asked me for my credit cards expiry date. I didnt give it, I wanted to get a call back number or an email or a pamplet first to make sure it was real. She was very very persistent on the credit card number. And then when I said, "sorry its okay I dont want to give u the number" she hung up on me . hahahha...
I got a call saying I won a trip to Florida and Universal studios. She then asked me to get my husband on the phone so she could tell him. She sounded so fake and excited and we were just like oh thats nice. She then went on to to tell that the vacation was worth $2500 and it would only cost us $249 a person for a one time registration fee. Ha then we both knew it was a scam and hung up on her. I feel sorry for the people who buy into this crap.
This number has called my cell about 4 times a day for the last 3 days.
I havent listened to wait they have to say because I know they are telemarketers. I have asked them mulitple times to take my name and number off the calling list, and they have refused to do so because "there is no calling list" because "I have won!". They are very persistent and rude, I have asked them to stop calling me, they have then told me that they won't stop until i listen to what they have to say, I then say well then hurry up and tell me so you can stop calling, and then they hang up! very rude scammers... if you are going to try to pull a scam they should at least be polite?!!?
