Called looking for someone with same last name. I told him not to call any more and he said he would call me every day if he wanted to. What are my rights?
Received several messages they even called me a liar. Stating the person works for a law firm and was serving me with papers with Hillsborough police and was taking repossession of my car which the info they stated was not mines.
When I said anyone can have my info because I had identity theft they said I was liar if I couldn't proof this happened
1. Illegal to claim to be an attorney or police officer.
2. NO on the car repossession - illegal to make threat like that (or jail/arrest, etc.)
3. IF you were to be served, you would NOT have advance warning.
Did you receive anything in writing mailed to you?? IF not - SCAM alert!!! Emails, phone calls & faxes are NOT official notification.
