I also received a voice mail from this number. His name was Alex Anderson, but a very heavy accent, reference one of my children, One of my Son's also received a call on his cell phone. I called the number and you can't get anyone.
A guy from that number named Rick Thomas keeps calling my home. He got irritated when I asked him to leave a number and swore at me. Also, I asked if he could send something in the mail to prove what he was saying but he said they can't do that unless I tell them I will be responsible paying the bill of the person they are trying to get in touch with.
I just recieved a call from a Jack Taylor claiming he was from the legal department for ACS. I ask him for a called back number in case we got disconnected and he gave me 813-435-1963. I ask him why the international number shows up at 052497347 he said he did not know why. I own a credit repair and counseling company so i was very interested to see why he was calling me. He said he was from the legal department and he was calling about my social security number and that I had taken out an international payday loan and he needed to know when i was going to pay the amount owe to his client. I explain to him that I have never done such thing and by the fair collections act he needed to tell me his real name and his actually company because I was on my computer and everything told was true. I did have my ID stolen back November 2009. He was a little rattle and I explian I was taping the conversationa dn then he hung up on me. I am researching this to the fullest. First thing to do is try to get all the info you can becuase it is a scram and I help people everyday getting thier credit and finances back on track. When they called you let them now you are filing a complaint to the FTC and do file it at www.ftc.gov... Best of luck to all.. And do not give them any info on you...
I am so freaking laughing about the call . first the accent is so funny and I really cant do understand what in the world he is talking . Well is kind of bothering and irritating . Hope someone can help us to resolve ths matter ASAP . And put all these person or group in JAIL .. Thats all
All of you -- MAKE YOUR EMPLOYER AWARE THIS IS A SCAM!! We started getting these calls for a particular individual a couple of months ago & gave hime the company line -- we don't pull production employees off the floor for personal phone calls, please call him at home. Because of our state law, they must stop calling. They would throw out the "we have charges against this person and he is going to be arrested." I knew that was crap because debt collectors can not have individuals arrested. Yesterday, it got ugly. He called again, was informed a complaint was filed and we were going to prosecute. He kept calling back continually for about 3 hours, no longer asking for the individual, but indicating all sorts of sexually explicit things he wanted to do to the females and telling the guys that answered the phone to %^&* off -- including the president of the company. After filing complaints with every agency under the sun yesterday, our answer today is the person does not work here. We'll see how that works. I suggest you share a printout of the various postings here with your employer to help them understand what is going on. Good luck!!
