Just got off the phone - it's one of those scam "energy checks" to lower your electric bill. Wouldn't give me the name of her company or her name or what it would cost me. She's calling "a lot of folks in Cape Coral" who own their homes, to see if she can "help" them. I think I just read about this . . . hang up. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE.
I answer the phone but instead of saying anything (not even hello), I just hold down the # button until they hang up. They then think they got a fax machine or bad number or something and maybe call back one more time and I do the same thing they never call again. If it's a robo-call, the machine thinks the number is non-functional and zaps my number from the calling list. Works for me, anyway.
Caller ID is Seffner FL. Didn't answer today, SUNDAY, 3 calls already and it's only noon! Have answered in the past and was a person who wanted to save me money on my electric bill. I tell them my bill is under $50... they can't get off the phone fast enough! LOL
Call from this number, disguised as v82516193600022 but when you dial it back you get 813-436-9338. No one responded when I accidentally answered thinking it was a work call. 18 secs of silence, then hung up. I dialed back and it rang, rang, rang, rang.....
