I got a call today from them. They say they are wanting pledges for fraternal order of police. Problem is I have heard of these people and NOTHING goes to police. It is a scam! The guy wouldn't take NO for an answer so I finally hung up on him. JERKS! The police get a paycheck as does the Highway patrolmen. I am on a fixed income, so they have more than I do. Plus my taxes go for them, so give me a break! Even if the money went to them, they can afford more than I can.
8:31 a 2/14/13 received a call from "FL FOP MEMORIAL." Did not answer - no message left. Made usual complaint registration with the National DNC but, it appears that this is one of MANY complaints about them. Just reported them - yet again!
Caller ID readout was 'FL FOP MEMORIAL'. I did not pick-up nor did I call number back. Probably just another third party agency being paid to raise funds for a perhaps legitimate cause (profiteering).
What ever happened to volunteers?
