The VoipDiscount theory seems to make sense in my case. I just moved; had the new Clearwater # since June 1; still waiting for my "do not call" order to kick in. I used to see "PAI" on my caller ID once in awhile at my previous address with the old phone # which also had a long standing "do not call" order. If someone is using VoipDiscount and calls my # by mistake and hangs up when they hear my voice mail ... then that's probably why 813-506-5700 PAI shows up on my caller ID. I haven't had anything to do with CL.
Received a call this morning by this number and didn't answer the phone, as I did not recognize the company or the number. They called again tonight so we answered. There was a delay and then a foreign lady asked for me by name. She was told I was not available and asked to leave a message, which she declined to do and hung up. We are on the "do not call" list....so much for that.
I have been receiving calls from them for over a year now. They call once or twice a month and ask if I want to refill my weight loss medication. I have never done business with them and I don't take weight loss medication. I have told them to take my name off their list and not to call me again. They continue call even though I am on the do not call list.
I have Vonage and GMail... I received a call from "Anthony Hall" at (813)506-5700, which went directly to voice mail...my voice mail also goes to my GMail... my GMail indicated that this particular email has a VIRUS attached to it AND that the telephone number is a FRAUDULENT phone number...(GMail has many filters that catch these type of things)... Opening emails from these "people" can harm your computer AND it is a FRAUDULENT phone number... beware...
