Guy spoke very poor english, said he was from some vacation club. I told him to remove me from his list and he told me this was something I signed up for... Yeah, ok. I asked him to repeat what company he was with and he hung up on me.
I said hello several times, finally got a man with an Indian accent reading from a script, claiming to be from "Royal Vacations". He said I "won"; I said he had the wrong number, to which he replied "oh no, this is no mistake- I'm holding a slip of paper with your phone number on it that you've entered!", & etc. which was not true.
I accidentally answered the call, but since it said it was from Tampa (a city close to mine), I answered with a simple "Hello", just once, and there was total silence. I hung up after about 5 seconds.
