They phoned me for my email address. They send me some forms to fill out to settle out of court. How do they get this information. Can we not make laws to stop this BS?

From what I can tell, for it to be slander it would have to be 1) spoken, 2) malicious, and 3) false. No written statement here can qualify for that. So long as people report what they genuinely believe to be true, it can't very well be malicious either.
Not all debt that collection agencies try to collect is valid debt. Just because a person posts here does not mean they are one of the "debtors who do not honor their debts."
