Started getting calls almost daily from this company. When i asked who they were and reason the lady said Glass Mountain Capital - Debt collector. Wouldn't tell me the debt basis of the company.
Told her to mail me the information but didn't give her my address because she already had it.
just hung up.
The call came from a local Florida area code, so I answered it. It was an old lady (think, Hansel and Gretel). She sounded like a sweet little old lady, until she went into her line about "this call may be recorded", blah blah. I asked if she was one of my customers, and when she talked over me, I hung up on her.
Answered the number because it was local. The guy on the phone then asks me to verify my address. I immediately say NO, because why on Earth would I give that information out when I have no idea who this person truly is. I owe no debt, so as far as I am concerned, this "company" is a scam that could turn potentially dangerous.
All you have to say is Cease and Desist. They are not allowed to call you after that. If they do, you can sue them for harassment. This is part of the Fair Debt Collecting practices.
