Asked for my number to be removed from their call list and he hung up on me. I get almost everyday.

This is eDegree Advisor, or should a say a contractor for this company calling from their home.

Some guy called and says you are on a recorded line. He asks can you hear him. I think this is a con game. The want you to say key words. Then they can use these words, to make it sound like you agreed to something. Like "yes" I agree to pay the national debt, although you just said yes, I can hear you.
