Got an automated message talking about directv. I pressed one to talk to a representaive. I told them I was on the do not call list and to remove my number. The lady hung up on me. I called the number right back and it said that number was not in service. I reported them to donotcall.gov and if everyone else does the same they will get investigated.
My next step was to contact DirecTV directly to see if this call actually came from them or if it's a scam company using DirecTVs name to gather our credit card information.
DirecTV said it DOES NOT do telephone marketing which means this is an attempted identity theft. You can report this number to DirecTV by calling 1-800-860-1283 and telling them you need to report potential fraud activity.
Received a call at my home which was answered by my husband. They were soliciting credit card services and said I had a credit card "that I was making payments on" and they could offer me a lower rate. They mentioned Experion, I think. What is going on with this phone number??????????????????
Our phone number is listed on the do not call registry, so I can only think that this may be a scam. Caller ID just says "unknown number". This is extremely scary and I would like to know why they called our home. Thank you.
Beware phone number 813-880-9485! It's a Telemarketer selling (Direct TV) satellite tv left in my answer machine. my Call ID showing under the name Heacox, Maureen. Must be scam artist trying to identity theft from people.
