I called the number back from a blocked line, and they answer as "Performant," which according to online search, is a collection agency. I've had the same cell phone number for about 15 years and owe no debts, so I don't know why they are calling me. The recording asks for an account number that appeared on your letter OR your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. Who in their right mind would give their SS# to someone that called you? I blocked them on my iPhone. If they continue to call using different phone numbers, I'll file a complaint with my state Office of Attorney General, Consumer Protection.
