some guy called and stated he is looking for me because i am in lots of troble ,,he called my job too ... who could this be?

Said I was in big trouble, also that my SS# indicates that I'm a kidnapper. Caller was Jeff Mark, with a very heavy middle eastern accent. Scam.

I received a phone call from 814-322-9207 stating that the 'federal department of investigation' had a claim against my SS # due to a loan which I supposedly (make that never) took out and never paid back and that unless I paid them money, I would be thrown in jail.  I informed them that I did a web search on their number and came back with a list hundreds of entries detailing that this was a scam (and not a very good one.  These idiots can't even be bothered to learn our legal system, our legal institutions and the difference between civil and criminal court.  I called the police and detailed what had happemed and gave them the telephone number.  My God, these cowards have called people up to tell them they're going to 'kick their childrens [***]' unless they get paid.  I called these people back to let them know that I knew about their pathetic scam and that I had contacted the police and if they ever called me again, I would escalate the matter.

Well, they ended up calling my mother with the same aggressive tactics (since they were getting no where with me).  I called them back, made it very clear they have made A LOT of enemies all of whom would be more than happy to put an end to this even if it meant flying to India to confront and shut down these a**holes and if they ever threatened my mother again through a bogus extortion scam I would do my best to become their worst f*cking nightmare.   You DO NOT threaten my family.

bogus extortion scam from 814-322-9207.  The calls originate in India or possibly Pakistan. They claim that the phone scam victim owes money from an unpaid loan, tax fraud etc.  If you do a web search on 814-322-9207 you will get listing after listing detailing the scam.   These people change their number frequently to avoid detection.   They also ask for sensitive information such as SS #s and debit card numbers.  BEWARE!
