I got a call from a man saying he was from Publisher's Clearing House and that I had won 1.5 million and a mercedes and for me to call this number to confirm it with his manager. Like a dummy I called them and it was a man with a very heavy foreign accent. Said they would be at my house this afternoon with cameras, the check and the car but first wanted me to go to Wal-Mart and get a money pack re-loadable paper scratch card for $295.00 to pay for processing fees. I told him I thought he was just trying to scam me out of $295.00 and that I would call PCH myself to confirm it. He freaked saying that he was PCH. I called PCH and they said it was indeed a scam, that they NEVER call their contestants, that they will notify you either personally or in writing and they will NEVER ask for money. I contacted the local police and reported it after my husband told me they had called him, too but he just hung up on them. Be careful out there.
Just got a call from a guy with an indian accent who told me that I won 2.5 million and a brand new pearl white mercedes benz in the publishers clearing house sweepstakes. He told me that 20 people from my state had been selected at random to win the prize. I'm supposed to call "custom" @ 1-814-380-5882. Sounds like a big 'ole scam to me....
Guy with indian accent just called and said that I won 1.5 million and and a pearl mercedes benz, in the publishers clearing house drawing. I never have sent in anything with publisher's clearing house. So its a total scam. Beware!!!!!!
Just got a call from a gentleman with an indian accent. Said I won $1.5 Million dollars and a pearl white Mercedes. Said both prizes were set to be delivered to me today at home. He even gave me the option of having the publishers clearing house cameras there or not!
After I told him that'd I'd be home, he said I needed to pay $600.00 for some federal stamp that goes on the $1.5 million dollar check. He told me it was refundable.
Sounds like a scam!
