I called the number back and get a call center in India, with a lot of noise in the background. The man answered as "General Tax Service". When I said that someone left a message on my phone call he said "OK" and hung up. When I called back the phone just rang and no one answered.
At 8:16 AM, a recorded message claiming to be from the IRS stating a law suit has been opened against me and it is very important I listen to this message. At that point the message stopped and the line went dead.
Me too around 8:45 am i got this message on my voice mail:
"Hello this call is officially a final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 814-386-2812. I repeat 814-386-2812. Thank you."
Gotten these calls before, they are Scammers attempting to get money from unsuspecting victims.....dont anyone fall for it, the IRS doesnt call demanding payment via MoneyGram. ONLY SCAMMERS DO THIS!!!
I also just received the same call and message. Do people not have anything better to do with their lives. Leave the hard working people alone that are trying to make a living for themselves.
