Caller sounded like he was from India. Very heavy accent. Call was obviously rerouted as there was a time delay & background noise change between my response and his reply. Said he was from the State Sheriff's Dept. I asked for his badge number and he said it was 983 (bogus). When I told him I didn't have a listing for the person he asked for, he refused to accept that fact and insisted on talking to another department.
Caller called me at my job! Accent was like Indian/MIddle Eastern. He said I had some charges against me and I would have to pay restitution or I would go to jail that night. I got information from him he said his name was Kevin Watson from Bradford, PA and even gave me a complaint number that was against me! He also told me that US National Bank was involved. I have never been to Bradford nor have I done any business in Bradford in my entire life!
Man called my job stating he was Officer Watson, that I had 2 charges against me, told me my personal information, said I should western union him $866.20 by 3:30 in the afternoon or I would go to jail. Gave me a complaint number. How do these people get your information??? Asked to speak to my manager or supervisor at my job.
