I received a call from 1-814-844-3927 today. This is not the first time. I have no idea from who or what the call is about becuase they never leave a message. I am assuming that it is some sort of scam. My number is listed with the National Do Not Call Registry and I would like these calls to stop.
I got a similar call, but in the evening. It is an automated offer for a 'free ipad 2'. Looks solidly like a scam, and they shouldn't have had this number. I am reporting it appropriately.
I just got a call from 814-844-3927 on my cell phone. Said "congratulation Verizon wireless cutover, you have just won an iPad" and they directed me to go to FreeVerizonIpad.com and enter in my cell number, etc. I don't know if it's a scam or not, but the company registered with "Who Is" is not Verizon.
Their landing page looks amature. My vote it a scam site, or a bait and switch. Oh, and I also registered my phone number on the do not call list. Lotta good that did!
I have received calls from this number even though I am on do not call list on cell and home.
This came in on my cell. There is never a message. I dont know who it is, but it is unsettling to get a call on both phones several times.
Also just received a call from this number. I received a text maybe three weeks ago with super sketchy links to a "verizon wireless" page in order to claim my free nexus, ipad 2, iphone 4s and some other stuff. I contacted verizon and they said it was definitely a scam.
