Chris Coen(?) called stating that he wanted my fax or email address.  I believe this guy works with Phillip Sauer, a debt collector.  Months ago, one of his goons called and claimed a client of mine owed his client some cash.  My client believes he is being scammed, so I asked that they provide evidence of the debt.  The goon got offensive at this point and I told them to put all correspondence in writing from now on as I didn't feel like getting into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.  Thereafter, believing it to be associated with Mr. Sauer's lawfirm, I put my request in writing.  In the last week, I've gotten three messages stating that they had the evidence and asking me to call back.  Obviously, that's not putting it in writing.  Today, Chris called and demanded my fax or email address, neither of which I have any obligation to disclose.  I reiterated my request that they mail it to me.  He started to call me unethical for making such a request and "running up my client's bill."  At that point, I asked what his basis for suggesting my activities were unethical, to which he got abusive and I hung up.  I called back, getting voicemail, where I left my address.  People, if you get calls from goons, demand they put it in writing and that you have no intention of being bullied.  I don't know if this is Sauer's guy, but whoever it is, it is high time they stopped acting like bullies.
