I've done more reasearch on these numbers (a new one calls every day). They originate from Kirby Carpet Cleaning in Crystal Lake, IL - suposedly a separate entity from the vacuum makers. We called one of the numbers back (numerous times) and finally got someone to answer. When we requested our number to be removed, she said they got our number from friends or family who gave them our number b/c they were satisfied with their service (lie) and then proceeded to give us her sales pitch on cleaning our carpet. She said she wasn't able to take our number off their list and basically hung up on us.
815.301.4100 is their main no.
I called the Crystal Lake police and they said it would be best to file a complaint with my hometown PD and they would be in contact with Crystal Lake PD. I will be filing a police report regarding Kirby's harassment antics. Enough is enough.
Do a search on 800notes for some of these other numbers. A couple of specific posts will give you an idea about the mantality we are dealing with - LOW CLASS and a crooked operation.
Additional numbers:

Its the dreaded Kirby Company...you know the 1800 vacuums. Supposedly they clean a room for free but from what I hear they pressure you into buying a vacuum that costs as much as a vacation would
This alleged company called me three times in a row. I answered twice and told them not to call me. this person kept calling back asking for the woman of the house.
I did a search and this is what came up........

Okay this is happening to me!! They are not leaving a message as well and I have not answered! Hopefully they will just stop calling, telling from previous posts it doesn't matter if you tell them to not call!
Yet another call from Kirby Company (aka K&G Distributors). The guy did a hardsell with the free carpet cleaning pitch. I again requested to be removed from the list -- as we've done over the last 3 years of their calls. His excuse: they don't have a computer system, so they have no way of checking which persons are on the Do Not Call List. I asked for a superviser and heard the same garbage. I even told her that their company is required to register their business and check the List at least once every 31 days. Furthermore, if they don't have access to a computer with an Internet connection, they've got bigger issues.
File a complaint on the FTC web site if you are on the Do Not Call List. Kirby Company always agrees to remove us from the list, but the calls continue.
