Hello,
I am from Midwest Hand Surgery. I want to let you know that our phone number has been spoofed which means ghost calls from our number are going out all over the US, when people answer the call is disconnected however it is our number that is showing up on caller ID. In some instances people are receiving calls 20 times a day. What happens next is all these people are calling us asking why we are calling. Our phones have been CRAZY!! This is not intentional on our part. This is a theft of our number and we are trying to figure out who is doing this. Since the calls are not coming from inside our organization, the calls can not be traced. We have filed police reports, contacted the FCC and the phone companies. If you receive these calls please call your nearest police department (non-emergency number) and log a complaint on the FCC website. Here is a link to the FCC's website, http://www.fcc.gov/guides/caller-id-and-spoofing . Please complete the complaint form. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated and we aplogize for the inconvenience.
Thank you.
The caller ID identified the call from Midwest Hand. Upon answering, I heard dead air for about 30 seconds, then a recorded femaile voice said "goodbye" and clicked off.
