Scammer - looking for contribution to non-existent Police Fund - when asked what Departments in my area were getting the contribution - unable to - just vague nondsense.
answered it and no one answered. Tried to call back got either busy signal or voicemail is full. Caller id said Illinois police hmmm I am not thinking this is true. Any clues anyone?
I have Caller ID and I been aware of various caller scams. I have known for sometime there is no such thing as "Illinois Police" so I have been ignoring it. They leave no message. However, for the last 2 weeks they have been calling every day which is starting to become very annoying. Why is it that advertisers and phone scammers can spoff phoney names, phoney numbers, and even com through as unknown. I have filed complaints with my local police departments and the FCC. The police department wont do anything and the FCC says advertisers have the legal right. Seems like fraud is running this country. Where are the individual rights in all of this even the "DO NOT CALL LIST" is being abused. What a joke. I am curious why the FCC doesnt use sites like these to weed out what I call harassing calls. Organizations like the FCC should be paired down if they are not going to do a thing about this and save at least some of the tax payer money
