Missed the call last night, 7:07pm PDT, no message. Called the number back and got the Truck Repair business. Too bad this scam is screwing up a legitimate business' operations. Hope the [***] get caught.
Received automated call from 815-703-0000, stating call was from ** Bank & Trust. It said due to technical difficulties with our debit card, a hold was put on our account. Press "1" to connect with Security Department. We did NOT press one, but immediately called ** Bank & Trust and was told it is a scam to get your account numbers. As long as you don't input any numbers in the phone, you are okay. If you receive a call like this from your bank or any other bank, don't answer it--call your bank directly.
My husband received a call today on his cell phone from this phone # with a recording stating that they were calling from some credit union and there was a problem with our debit card & to press 1 to correct. He hung on the phone call and then called the number right back and there's a recording to leave a message for some sort of mechanic/towing company. Obvious a huge scam to get your banking information.
THIS PHONE NUMBER IS TO A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS. WE ARE A SEMI TRUCK AND TRAILER REPAIR SHOP. WE WERE TOLD BY OUR PHONE COMPANY THAT SPOOF CARDS CAN BE PURCHASED AND USED FOR SCAMS. SOME SCAMMER PURCHASED A SPOOF CARD AND IS USING THIS NUMBER TO SCAM PEOPLE. THE PROBLEM IS WE ARE NOT MAKING THESE CALLS. WE ARE TRYING TO OPERATE A BUSINESS SO ALL OF YOU CALLING BACK IS NOT ALLOWING US TO HANDLE OUR CUSTOMERS PROPERLY. PLEASE KNOW THAT THIS PHONE NUMBER IS NOT CALLING YOU. WE ARE JUST A FRUSTRATED AS YOU ARE AND ALSO RECEIVE PHONE CALLS AT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT. IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA HOW TO STOP SPOOF CARDS FROM BEING USED SO WE CAN GET BACK AT OUR WORK AT HAND IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
