This 815 928 5388 phone number has been calling my cell phone at odd hours. There is at least 1 phone call a day; including Saturdays and Sundays. Someone from the phone number listed above, has called ussually between 11:30am and 5:15pm, Central Standard Time. I've attempted to return the phone calls, but I only get an Automated System asking for my Social Security Number. I'm not obligated to reveal that information. Did I mention I've recieved calls from them on SUNDAYS?!

Whoever owns the phone number, 815 928 5388, should learn how not to harass people!

This number is for a collection agency.  Creditors Collection Bureau.  The company is based out of Kankakee County.  And I will say, if you make an effort, they will work with you.  Not the typical...."pay or else!"  Not that anyone WANTS to deal with any collection company, but at least this company works with you, as much as they can.  I would like all my collections to be through them, instead of others.

A phone call from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:

* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.   ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]

IF you wish to communicate with the supposed collector / creditor, visit  the following page, for example "Action Letters" to snailmail:

If you KNOW you owe no money, or believe the call was from a fake debt collector, please take the time to read this:
