Got call while was using landline ph @ 3:-35pm Fri 2/24/17 , but didn't take call. CID showed Seivert, Richard. Looked up reverse # & it showed it is cell ph for Verizon wireless carrier for him age 62 from Rockford Il. &wife is Valerie age 58 & listed other members of family names. So I am too we suming it is telemarketer & an unwanted call & may very well be credit card loweringing SCAM as noted in above post.
American sounding female recording saying it was my LAST chance to lower my interest rates. Pressed 1 and got, you guessed it, the Indian guy. I asked if it was REALLY my last chance and he said YES. I said "do you promise?" And he replied "I promise you will get 50 more calls!" and hung up. Number now blocked....one of hundreds!
Now they have untraceable wireless callers. Yesterday's latest scam number. Out of the thousands they call, at least one will get scammed or they wouldn't be doing it. No one should ever answer a call they don't know, it's the only source of control that we have right now against predators.
