Well it sure is tax season, isn't it? Called and said my identity had been used in a recent tax fraud and that I could either move forward with the IRS at a discounted amount or go to court and risk paying the maximum of $13,000. I confronted him about the call not being legitimate and he said that I'd be receiving a notice in the mail. Blah blah blah total scam.
Left Voicemail "Hi, this message is intended for (my name) when we lived don't know when to see the officer jake Marshall from federal law enforcement. We are trying to reach you to notify you that we have received a legal lawsuit complain on your name and your identity please do that, and it's time sensitive. So give us a call as soon as possible my call back number is 816 207 2941. I repeat. It's 816-207-2941. Thank you." I blocked number and will not return call. Ps. Google auto transcribe, not super accurate with Indian accent.
He said the same stuff to me except he said he was Jack Brown and there was a "legal lawful complaint on [my] name and identity". Not only did he not really know English, but it sounded like the one who wrote the script he was clearly reading off of didn't know English either.
