Received a call from this number saying that they were from Martin Legal Services. He said his name is John Smith (with a heavy Indian accent) stating that my name and SS# has a lawsuit against it. I asked for the case # and he transferred to a paralegal who said that his name was Jack Lewis (same heavy accent). I asked for the city and state he was calling from and they both said Independence Kansas. I then asked for a case # he put me on hold again and said that I have an affidavit #ID6981F3, He said that the police will be coming to my place of employment and arrest me for fraudulent activities against my name and SS#. When I asked for an employee # and told them that I their call was being recorded they hung up on me!!! Can these people do things like this to us? They also left the same message on my cell phone!!!
I got a call from this number today as well. He said they were with Martin Legal Services. Can't remember his name but had heavy indian accent. He stated that my name and social also had a lawsuit against it. I asked for the address and phone number of his company which he gave me the actual address to Martin Legal Services but gave me a different phone number. He said they were located in Independence Missouri. He also told me that the police would be coming to my home to arrest me for 30 days due to fraudulent activities against my personal information. When I asked for the amount of the loan I was suppose to have gotten he said between $300-$400 but that the whole issue was going to cost me $8000! I asked when I was suppose to have gotten the loan and he told me that if I wanted all that information I was going to have to wait until the police showed up at my door with the paperwork. I said no I have the right to know when I was suppose to get this loan and from who since you are the one calling me about it. He told me again that if I wanted to know all the information that I was going to have to wait for the police.
Anyone getting a call from this number can get the real Martin Legal Services at (816)836-8000. I have talked to them and let them know that these people are using there address and company name. They would like to know from anyone else if their business information is being used against them.
