I received a call from 368-8018. It came across as SSI and the caller requested my participation in a health survey. She even had the nerve to claim that this call is "not fake". Earlier today, we received a phishing call from Chase Fraud Division. They left this number: 800-454-9078. I didn't call the number but instead went online and found out that this is a scam number. They want social security number, mother's maiden name, etc. (Earlier in the day, we received a legitimate email from Chase informing us that someone in Oakland CA was charging over $400 at a restaurant. We said this was a fraudulent charge and they canceled the card.) That said, these people are relentless. Now they're calling with a bogus health survey to get the information we refused to give via their Chase Scam number. Beware, good people. Only call the number on the back of your credit card. Never give any personal information over the phone. Ignore threats, scare tactics by callers, etc. Their aim is to make you feel vulnerable and confused. They are looking for people (not just the elderly or naive people fall for their tricks) who think they're giving information to the right people. DON'T TRUST ANYONE WHO CALLS.
