They are really trying today. Six times today at 4:15pm local.
While scrolling through my caller-id, I suddenly remembered a fact. Lots of numbers on TV shows use the fictitious exchange, 555 any time they need a phone number, like in a show's "Call the Police Tip Line" at XXX-555-ZZZZ, or as a number for a TV or radio ad in the show's plot. This conventional use goes back to the 1960's and before that.
