Received a call from 816-698-4879 at 10:56 a.m.. The woman said her name was Ashley, calling from <? she spoke fast> and they needed to serve civil legal documents between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., and asked if someone would be home. She did not verify who I was, if this was the correct phone number, just her script.
Have been getting calls (sometimes 4 or 5 a day) from this number for several weeks now. ID states "Unknown Name." I do not answer such calls and no message is left. Assume it is the same type call that Kimberly has gotten. Probably a collection agency or a scam using scare tactics and threats to get someone to send them some money. My bills are all paid on time and I have nothing out to a collection agency. People making such harassment calls should be prosecuted. Unfortunately, they just change their number if blocked or reported and keep on calling. Do not fall for their threats.
