These numbers you are all talking about are spammed collectors or just plain random spam like "Since you have stayed at our resorts in the past, blah blah blah..." I have NEVER stayed at any resort EVER. They just keep on talking even when you yell louder for them to stop. So now I just block and delete. Eventually they will run out of numbers to use and the calls will stop. I have been getting at least 4 - 5 calls all day, every day but the states are different. Washington DC, Montana, Missouri, Colorado, Alabama, Wyoming, Either of the Carolinas, Georgia and so on. They use a main number which they connect to with a code on their computers (from home) or an office of other collectors so we don't call them on the main number and can not get through the other numbers because they actually do not exist.
I get the same thing. Rings one time and nobody is there. Call came in at about 6:45 PM CST. In the caller ID window on the name line (Where normally a person's name would be displayed) it says "Missouri" without the quotes.
After going through their BS and answering questions....I got a "customer service #" that you can call to be taken off their list. The phone # is 1-800-257-7885
These calls have been coming to my personal & private cell phone. I called the customer service number, and they were of no service at all. I spoke with Donnesha (sp). I asked her to take my number off her list and she said that they couldn't do it until the person who is 'using' my number calls to refill their prescription. I told her that she should be able to spin her files in a way that would search by phone numbers, but she said that she wasn't able to do that because her system was down - I knew she was lying. When asked if there was anyone else I could speak to whose system wasn't down, she replied no. When asked if she knew when the system would be working, she replied that she didn't know. So basically there is nothing they can do and I just have to sit and wait for this 'mystery' person who is 'using' my number to call in and update their information. Yeah right.
I plan to call back at a later time and ask to speak with a manager. I also downloaded a call block program to my cell phone and put this number on the list. Hopefully that will be the end of it.
To anyone else who is getting these annoying calls PLEASE call the customer service number and complain. Maybe if enough of us call, something will be done.
