Received a call today from this number. It was some robot stating that it was a 'cruise coordinator' or something like that. I didn't say anything and they swiftly hung up. I immediately called the number back and was sent to a voice message that stated the 'office was now closed'....no info about which company, what the office hours were, or any other contact info. Just 'closed' and hung up. I'm guessing this is a phishing scam. Ending the comment with a rhetorical question: How can we locate the scumbags behind all of these identity theft schemes? They deserve far worse than a prison sentence.
First received a call from 816-297-0155 claiming to offer me a free cruise for taking part in a survey. I took the survey out of curiosity; it was 3 questions about "green technology" and my likelihood of buying it in the next 5 years. Then it told me to press 1 to have a representative call me within the next 24-48 hours, but it didn't wait for me to press and instead hung up. Within a minute I received a call from this number (816-929-8769) that sounded like an IVR pretending to be a person. When I didn't respond in time it hung up on me.
I had the same experience as Ryan described, they called, I took the short survey (3 questions). They said I had won an all expenses paid cruise, and that someone would contact me within 24 hours to schedule. Its a strange call.... They didn't ask for anything other than a few green technology questions. Its a robocaller.
