Got a call from this number about an hour ago. I don't know anyone in TX; I didn't answer. Thanks to the people above for posting what this new scam is all about.
Just called on my cell phone and left no message. No one but my immediate family has my cell number so this is obviously a scam robo call. According to the largest "ambulance chasing" law firm in Florida, Morgan and Morgan LLC, each robo call to a cell number is a $1,400 fine to the company. I'll be researching who to report this call to as the only way to stop these scum is to hit them in the wallet.

"My number is on the DNC list so why do I get calls?" 2 reasons. 1, the DNC isn't a call blocker so can't keep you from getting calls. 2, Scammers don't care about the DNC list. So your final statement that the DNC list isn't working is incorrect. It keeps LEGITIMATE telemarketers from calling you because they follow it. Scammers, again, don't.
