The call is from a collection company, they called me this morning, I hung up, then the mail came with a letter from them regarding a hospital bill from 3 years ago. I'll send it into my insurance and they can take care of it.
No message, no answer, identified as "Reno, Texas". It's registered to "Level 3 Communications", a telecommunications and IP provider, so I'm guessing it's a VoIP phone, like Google Voice.
Called them back from another phone. When they answered they mumbled some name ending in "... financial services". When I asked them to speak more clearly so I can understand them they again mumble the name ending again with "... financial services". Finally I called again and gave a phony name and said "I think you're looking for me?" They said "wait a minute while I look up your name". I asked while he was looking what their company name was and he replied, "Phoenix Financial Services". I then hung up and looked up their company review and found they are just scammers and probably work under many names.
Phoenix Financial. Scammers. Goes by many different names (Portfolio Recovery for one). I always call these numbers back on a pay phone (yes there are still some pay phones) and give them a fictional name to see what happens. No matter what name I give them, the name always owes them money. Hahahahaha!
Got a call from this number twice tonight they hung up after I answered I called back and they said I owed money and said they were Phoenix financial. Said I owed money from 2 years ago. Scam!!! Scam!!! They were rude, they offered to settle before I said anything so yeah there not for real.
