This is the non-emergency number to Arlington Police Department. I called it for assistance and received a call later to make sure everything was ok. Legit.
Got a call from this #. Told my mother she was a 911 operator looking for a Gwen Carter. Wanted name of street my mother lived on etc... Wanted names of who lived at the number she was calling.
Called my cell phone asking for my daughter. I asked what it was about and she said it was about a survey.
She called my cell phone which is private. Some sort of scam!
Received a call from this number at 12:49 PM today. Did not answer it. No voice mail. Even being on the do not call list and advising callers they generally say, "So what?" However, when someone receives a call from the 911 operator, the number 911 will show on your phone caller id screen. The APD in Texas has no numbers in this same sequence of numbers.
