Called my house and when I answered that asked for me by name stated it was a recorded line.  She asked me to confirm my SS# and I told her no.  I asked who she was with and she stated ARC out of Colorado.  I asked her why she was calling me and she read off a birthdate and last four digits of a SS#. I stated it wasn't me and asked her again who she was with and why were they calling.  She stated if the information didn't match I had nothing to worry about.  I asked if she was out of Colorado than why was her number beginning with an 817 area code.  She stated it was so her clients wouldn't have long distance fees, which is absolute BS because companies would have an 800 number call back.  This woman was very pissy and very rude.  I'd love to meet her in person to let her know what I think of her.  I am assuming ARC is one of those bottom-feeding collection agencies.
