Its called an AUTO-DIALER and they are extremely normal. Many companies use this technology to collect money or remind their customers of bills that are over-due (Cell Phone Cos, Cable/Internet Cos, Financial Cos, ...). AND SINCE WE'RE IN A PRES ELECT YEAR, these auto dialers have been used a ton in the early election (preliminary) now we'll see more with tie Primary Election - just not as much, if any, in CA because we so damn BLUE and democrats on the left with 9llegal aliens incresing population in So Cal (and nor cal and thru-out USA... and tons of CHINESE up north inc.
