Declined the 1st call because it was an unknown number. Decided to answer the 2nd call for the hell of it. Dude's name was Jason from National Ins. Foundation. Asked me the following questions:
1. Do you currently have auto ins?
2. Have you had auto ins. for the last 6 consecutive months?
3. Who is your auto ins. carrier?
4. Have you received a DUI in the last 7 years?
5. What's your zip code?.... I lost it at this point...
I asked him if he was trying to waste my time at 8:30 in the damn morning for an auto ins quote. Gave me the shpeel about saving money with another carrier. Told him "bessa mi [***]" and remove my number from the list. Save your minutes and BLOCK THE CALL!
Said they were from Nation Insurance Foundation. I've been getting calls from various numbers over the past few days, and, if I pick up, they say they're with the National Insurance Foundation. If I miss the call and try to cal back, it says that it is a non-working number.
got a call from this number which my phone identified as calling from "Sun Valley, CA." Upon calling back, the automated message said it was Verizon and told me to call back a *different* number. My phone is on a family plan and I'm not the policy owner, so there's no reason for Verizon to call me. Most likely a scammer of some sort.
