Yet another unwanted call was received from this Burbank landline number today, more than 8 months since the previous call on October 6, 2015 One again, when the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message. This is typical of robocallers (illegal telemarketers) who use automated dialers to place calls.
Other posters report this is an illegal telemarketer who is violating the Do Not Call law, possibly a scam contractor. Poster Ka Pye (see above) identifies the caller as Solar Corporation -- a solar energy scammer for sure! Since Solyndra absconded with $500 million in taxpayer dollars, other scammers want a part of that gravy train, too. These guys are looking to snag gullible victims.
DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM. DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
Man said "Solar Corporation. How are you?". I said "fine and we are on the do not call list. Please take me off your list. He says "That's nice" and used my husband's name and said "is NAME home?". I hung up.
Very rude and aggressive, I had to tell the guy several times that I'm on the do call list and he just ignored me and continued to act like a jerk until I just hung up.
It rang twice and the caller ID said Burbank, CA. No message left.
I just don't answer the land line any more unless I recognize the name.
Very bothersome.
Just called here - ID read Burbank CA. I NEVER answer unknown callers and no active VM. Only rang about 4 times. Telemarketer / scammer TIP - when the ID is the name of a city or town, it's probably NOT someone you want to talk to!
Friends, family and business associates don't have Burbank or any other town for their caller ID.
