I recently got a call from this number saying they were calling from salon save. Claiming I have an a account open with them that hasn't been paid. When about 8 months ago I emailed to cancel my account I got an email back saying that after 5 months of being a member my account would be put on their cancellation request. And 6 months later I get this call ? I was told through the email to give them a call back and I had to pay or I would be sent to collections and it would effect my credit . is this true ? Is anyone else having this problem

Hey mairafranks, I'm not sure if you're still having this problem but you're not alone! This is a well-known and documented scam, this is a new number for Salon Save and they have been doing this for years. I received threatening calls from them in May and again today, claiming they would file a credit report against me. Thankfully I had cancelled my card months ago for separate reasons from this, and had actually forgotten I ever signed up with these con-artists, and nothing so far has happened to me. From the statements I've read from others who have either signed up with or received calls from salon save, cancelling your credit card is the best solution. Their threats to send you to collections are unfounded. However, it wouldn't hurt to talk to your banker or parents, or someone you trust for advice on the situation. I hope I could help you!
The SAME thing happened to me! They randomly call me when I cancelled a long time ago. My credit does not seem to be affected, as I too cancelled the card on file. Also, it is always so difficult to hear what company Kelly works for (the 1(818)297-8367 number) on her voice mails and she also never picks up. If someone has found a solution please lmk!
