Robo-call, may be dynamic -- that is, not a real person, but a series of prerecorded responses that are played back according to what you say. They are asking for donations for a "Death Benefit Fund Drive." Once you agree to donate, you are passed to a closer who says her name is "Harley." It's another boiler room scam, and it sounds like it's coming from the US.
Called landline 5:59 p.m. PST 3/21/16. We didn't pick up; they left no message. However, it was only a few minutes after a similar, unknown call. Alas!
I think these criminals are also calling from 818 228-9098.
Not to worry, BOTH CRIMINAL numbers are blocked. Our phones do not ring when these CRIMINALS call.
Buy a call blocking device - check Amazon for blocking phones or devices - they work and they are inexpensive.
We have had an answering machine for over 35 years, now days we have a blocking telephone and a blocking device.

Decided to answer it, prepared to shut them down. They called my landline. Asked for a family member no longer living here. I asked who are you. Scam. "Police Benevolent association for fallen policeman's families". The caller ID didn't list that. I told them "oh, I just got this number, that guy doesn't live here, you have a wrong number". Tried to get me to donate and I hung up.
