Claimed to be Excel Energy(Minnesota). Said that I needed to pay within 15 minutes or the power to my hotel would be turned off. Told them that I paid the bill yesterday. Told me that the company I paid the bill to yesterday was a fake, and that they were the real company. Told him that was impossible because the person that I paid the bill to is my actual neighbor. Lol. They hung up.
They claim to be from Pacific Gas & Electric stating that your bill is past due by 60 days and it will be disconnected in an hour. They demand you give them a credit card over the phone instead of paying at the local office or else they will have someone there shutting off the power.
Claimed to be DTE ENERGY. Claiming your power is scheduled to be shut off in 45 if you don't pay with a credit card or a pre paid debit. Bogus. Told them I did not have stupid across my forehead
