You can contact your local office of the Better Business Bureau and report yourcomplaint to them. Guarentee they will call the company and stop their calls. Been there done that. It works. Keep record of the call And who u talked to.
Again with the "report them to the BBB” a toothless organization with no law enforcement powers that exists solely to charge business owners money for good ratings.
A robocall from this Agoura VOIP number arrived today. When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left a recorded message touting an electric energy savings program -- an obvious telemarketing scam, confirmed by the posters on this page who have also been annoyed.
Amazingly, the recorded message is identical to one received twice earlier this week from (805) 222-4634, a Moorpark VOIP number. Could the same scammers be placing automated robocalls from multiple numbers? Sure seems that way.
DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM. DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
This caller didn't leave a message on my machine and the caller id said "Out of Area" which usually means scammer. So I ran 3 reverse traces using 3 different types of tracers and all were blocked for a person or business name but all showed a general location of Agoura, California with 2 service providers ( Pac-West Telecomm Inc. and MPower Communications Corporation-CA ) associated with this number. This is definitely a scammer either spoofing or using a voip system to phish for personal information while running some scam (i.e. Electric Energy Savings Program, Energy Solutions which is in Utah, Dept. of Solar Energy Efficiency which is in Washington D.C.). A legitimate business would never hide their identity and location from the public by blocking a trace. DO NOT ANSWER AND DO NOT CALL BACK FOR ANY REASON. Blocked and report to the proper authorities. Phone companies should be held responsible for these types of calls since they are making money from them by providing the systems and services that these scammers use.
